1. Would you rather work on Christmas day and earn 4 times your daily salary or spend the day with your family?
Before I married I worked on Christmas day, though I think the going rate was only triple pay. I say “only” as the tips were immense, and the atmosphere was so vibrant. This year I’m home alone on the 25th. While I’d be happy to work on Christmas day for lots of money, I’d also work for free. If next year is the same then I’ll investigate the Crisis At Christmas voluntary roles. This isn’t an excuse not to spend Christmas with my wider family, just a way to find my own Christmas magic while the children are with their Dad.
2. Would you rather spend a snowy day outside playing winter games/sports or spend a snowy day inside with your most annoying relative?
Normally I’m an Outdoors—Always kind of woman. But Snow and Ice are sure fire ways to make me grumpy and hide inside. But the thought of staying inside with my most annoying relative… The question is, which do I dislike more. Getting cold and grumpy in the snow, or staying in with an adult cousin who is really not my cup of tea? We really don’t get a lot of snow here, and the last significant dump we had saw me out and about with SWL. That day we made our own snow fun and games. The last time I saw my annoying cousin was at my Grans funeral. The former was a much better day than the latter, so… I guess I’m going to send the day outside playing in the snow!
3. For the month of December would you rather sing jingle bells really loud every time you enter a room or wear a Santa suit every day?
What is it with the options this week? These are both torture for me! However, I rarely pay attention to what I look like, and so I guess wearing the Santa suit every day would be the best option. At least if other people share my feelings on Christmas then they can look away. Having me belching out Jingle Bells every time I enter the room… not only would I loathe it, others may do too.
However, don’t let my bad attitude stop you. Have a good old sing-a-long!
4. Would you rather choose your presents or be surprised?
This very much depends on the person gifting. I love surprises, and as an adult I get few enough of them. And I have people in my world who know me well and can surprise me with gifts that make me really happy. But then there are people who don’t know me well, and they invariably have different taste to me. I would much prefer I’m able to choose, or that they save their money and we have an adventure together. Gifts are lovely, but time is better. (Home made gifts are the best though- a combination of time and creativity.)
5. Would you rather be Scrooge before he meets the ghost of Christmas or be the Grinch before becoming good?
This one is easy! Is the Grinch not the greenest of brats? Bratting is a hard limit for Barefoot, and if I won’t receive it then you can bet your bottom dollar that I’m not going to give it out. Whereas Scrooge is unfortunate in that he’s lost his Christmas sparkle. He got lost in his problematic past life, his work and responsibilities and took his grump out on those who didn’t respect his festive boundaries. Relatable? It certainly is to me.

Happy TMI Tuesday!
From the story of how the barefoot sub became the woman she is today, to toy reviews, with a hefty dose of contemplation, a sprinkling of erotica and a LOT of nudity in between, you can be sure to find something to tickle your fancy at A Leap Of Faith.
I’d go for the Santa suit. Easy, no questions about “What should I wear today?”, and festive — without being auditorium noisy. 🙂
And I am not a fan of being cold, so the outside-cold vs indoor-terrible-relative would be tough.

Haha, Yeap. That’s never a welcome question first thing in the morning!
sometimes ok mosttimes i think being with my children are the best part of Christmas. so having something to do that is rewarding would get my mind off of missing their smiles.
Love your answers starting to think about mine.
Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas
I think children do bring their own magic for Christmas, don’t they? We have a my-side-of-the-family Christmas, they get Christmas with their dad and then they come home on the first for our little celebration and gifts. My youngest says “how lucky we are to have three Christmases.” Bless him
I think my answer should have been closer to yours for Q4.
I should also have stolen your Q5 answer.

Ha, No stealing allowed here, I might get all scrooge-y on you!
