When I recently took a trip to the hospital, scavenging was not the first thing on my mind. However, while I sat in the waiting room, I wondered if it was on the list. You know which one I’m talking about, surely! Hopping over to the scavenger hunt location page I saw that it was, and I hadn’t logged it yet. I was passing the minutes in my mind, wondering about the best angle for capturing the building from the outside. The other lady was called through and I looked up, noticed my surroundings. On the wall beside me, opposite the hallway leading to the main reception and staff kitchen, was an important noticeboard.
An information topic close to my heart!
While my blog is about body confidence and finding fun in strange situations, I knew I wanted to get on my pedestal and promote cervical screening. I mean, my blog- my rules, right? I’ve visited this subject before, and you can find the full story in the post Cervical Health: Get Checked! On this occasion I want to use my boobs to point out what is available in the UK and encourage you to find out what is available locally to you. As the sites aren’t too clear in my picture I’ve linked them here:
- Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust
- NHS Cervical Screening Advice.
- Cancer Research Uk Cervical Screening Information.
My own experiences pale into insignificance when I think that each of my children has a classmate who has lost a mum to this aggressive but treatable (if caught early enough) disease. Neither mum took up the screening offer, and both worked hard throughout their illness to share their stories.
If you have a cervix please, take the time to access your screening when you receive your reminder. And if ANYTHING unusual happens, speak to your GP. They will be only too pleased to take a peek.
It’s not my usual Scavenger hunt community share from me this week, instead I wanted to share this
And as it’s the last day of the September Song Project it seems only right to blow your mind! I may have google “Cervix songs” and listened to more songs about pussy than is normal. There were lots that I enjoyed, but I didn’t think a vagina/cervix/pussy playlist was in order so you get this one. I hope it leaves you with a smile as I climb down from my soapbox.
Hospital Scavenging is my 81st location. You can find the rest in my scavenger hunt category.
From the story of how the barefoot sub became the woman she is today, to toy reviews, with a hefty dose of contemplation, a sprinkling of erotica and a LOT of nudity in between, you can be sure to find something to tickle your fancy at A Leap Of Faith.

*grin*
A delightful end to September!
Thank you for playing along this month. 🙂
It’s been so much fun, thank you for hosting again!
A very worthwhile message, very well pointed out.
It’s a location I’ve failed to get becasue everytime I’ve been in the right location, I’ve felt too rubbish to think of snapping a shot, that or there were too many people around!
My anxiety levels were sky high so any distraction was welcome at this point. Fortunately covid measures meant the crossover in the waiting room was minimal.
