A Different Angle For Boobday

Looking at my breasts from a different angle they hang and look full.

Isn’t it funny how we can see ourselves one way, only to be completely taken by surprise when we notice ourselves in unexpected ways. This week’s Sinful Sunday and BoobDay post shares a completely different angle for you to see my breasts.

It’s no secret that my breasts, and how I see them, have caused me more than a few headaches. Well, I found this picture in a random file on my phone – “Boob Appreciation Folder”. Honestly, my phone is a hot mess of all sorts, but sometimes my vague attempts at being organised comes up trumps. While browsing my gallery for a different folder this long forgotten file popped up, transporting me back to my bathroom, making me smile.

I remember quite clearly reaching down to take off my socks before jumping in the shower.

Catching sight of my profile I took a picture. Having seen this angle on occasion and not being able to capture the shape, I wasn’t too worried about quality camera work, just wanted to capture the view. I never get to see my breasts looking full. It’s never rarely been the size of my breasts, more the shape. In this photo even my noisiest mind monsters couldn’t deny that I have womanly curves.

Last night I was chattering away to Bunny. We got on to discussing body confidence. How looking down at our bodies is often uncomfortable. But that we are both starting to see what others see occasionally. Take last weeks Sinful Sunday post, for example… I still can’t quite believe the flying woman is me, but I’m assured tit is. For both of Bunny and I, looking at photos is easier than looking down our body. We can see ourselves clearly, as others would.

We can see what our friends see, what our friends love.

My Boobday picture choice was made easier when, upon opening my browser, Bronnie Ware‘s quote “a different angle reveals a different world, Perspective is a choice” popped up. I’m not sure she meant it in a “appreciate your breasts by dangling them as you remove your socks” way. But that’s the perspective I am choosing for it. After all… perspective is our choice!

Not just thinking about Boobday, how do you change angle to gain a different perspective? To see something in a new way and (hopefully) gain a little confidence. Or do you think you’ll set up an “uncomfortable *Body Part* appreciation” folder? I’d love you to share in the comments. Or let me know privately via my contact form!

  1. They are simply beautiful! Delicious looking.

How did you do those heart shaped bubbles though?

(It took me a while to notice them …)

  2. I like the perspective of asking friends, the ones like you who I know will tell me truthfully.
I try and see what my late husband saw in me, the way he looked at me.
But even then i have a love hate relationship with my body at times. X

    1. I’m only just learning to lean in to the perspective of others. But its those internal love/hate times that I’m figuring out at the moment. The times when whatever anyone says, the mind monsters override them x
