Who loves having their pleasure controlled by long distance lovers? Or even just having a fully customisable remote control. Honey PlayBox may have just the thing for you. The recently released Oly, an app-enabled, wearable clit and g-spot vibrator and wondered if I would like to take it for a spin! Read on to find out if Oly has taken my toy box by storm!
The first thing to note is that the toy was originally called Loli, a name reflected in the packaging you’ll see throughout my review. Not long after receiving Loli, my contact emailed to inform me that due to Loli being a feminine name the decision had been made to rename it as Oly. I mention this, not just due to the differences in my pictures, but because I love that Honey PlayBox are constantly checking their actions, taking note of what their customers want and working towards an inclusive offering. There is still work to be done, for instance, in the app, you need to state gender, selecting whether you’re a boy or a girl.

You may remember I reviewed the Lili earlier this year, the Honey PlayBox app enabled egg vibrator. Well, Oly is a variation on the theme, with more directed internal sensations, plus clitoral stimulation. The app has also been significantly updated and I was excited to see how things had been updated.
Now then… On to the vibrator known as Oly!
My parcel arrived quickly, in discrete packaging – as always. The box was sealed in a plastic film, and the box took a bit of pulling apart. Inside I found the Oly vibrator, nestled in a foam mould. The colours available are pink and turquoise. I chose the latter and am very pleased with my choice.
Removing the foam from the box I found the instructions, app guide, charging cable and bottle green toy bag. You might well wonder why a bottle green toy bag is worthy of special mention. Well, when you have a cupboard/drawer/box full of black drawstring pouches this variation makes life all the easier. Thank you Honey PlayBox for helping out this disorganised pleasure seeker!

A two hour charge would give me an hour of playtime, so I set it going as soon as I could. I’m always keen to have the first trial, otherwise I end up worrying that it won’t work for me. (And worrying is the least helpful thing while masturbating!) This gave me enough time to install the Honey PlayBox app on my new phone. Get familiar with the controls again.

Experimenting with my new dual stimulation vibrator.
Oly is made of silky smooth silicon which, when combined with the smooth, gently bulbous body of the 3″ insertible vibrator (and a little water-based lube), slid into position with ease. Once there it hugged my front wall, pressed into my g-spot. The clitoral stimulator is a good length for my anatomy, the ridges that edge the tip cup my clitoris just right. Not bad for a toy that fits in the palm of my hand!

While I have mainly tested this front facing, I did enjoy turning it round. The clitoral stimulator makes a very good rimming toy, and the internal vibrations rumble through nerves lining the back of my vagina.
It is possible to work through a series of vibration patterns using the power button on the toy. There are ten pre-set functions in total, three intensities and seven patterns. For me, the power button is tricky to navigate when I can’t see it, and everything is moist… which I found to be a particular ‘problem’ I’d associate with this toy. Don’t worry though, Oly is rated IPX7 so is totally submersible. Ideal for shower and bath play, if that’s your preferred wank spot, but for me it’s reassuring to know that when the floods keep coming I won’t kill the toy!
Sidestepping the wetness by using the app was a very welcome option.

In the app there are nine pre-set levels for each of the internal and external motors. Again, three intensities, followed by six patterns. The internal motors seemed to produce more rumbly vibrations, on pattern four the
Discovering that four inside and eight outside made me purr was magic. Felt like I was being fucked and rubbed simultaeously, delicious! But I took a lot of time experimenting! Normally I prefer a steady vibration, but the dual stimulation with opposing patterns caused unexpected confusion and delight in my nether region.
The free touch option works by giving the user a button for each motor. You can set a specified level for each, moved them around as you please and even record loops of pattern. Controlling the Oly vibrator through the app is completely customisable, whether through the pre-set options or free touch.
It also has a music function. On my phone I am only able to link Samsung music, where I only have one song available. I was able to bypass this by playing a tune on Spotify, returning to the app and using the microphone button. When I returned to spotify and left that app open, the connection only continued for a song before cutting out. That song was the Sound Of Silence, by Disturbed, in case you’re wondering. While there was a slight delay between hearing the tune and feeling it, the patterns playing well with the music. I’ve never used a music controlled vibrator before, but I found Oly was more effective with tunes that had a varied rhythm than a constant high pace. For Your Entertainment, by Adam Lambert, was just one long, high end buzz. Given the constant fast rhythm tune it’s hardly surprising.
Of course, I can hand over the vibrator controls for Oly through the app too.
And so one evening D and I were able to spend some time doing just that.
Handing over control was straightforward, entering the remote play section I sent him a link. Once he clicked that he was able to take the reins and set to with gusto. In order for us to chat though, I had to run the app alongside our preferred messaging platform. This is where we came unstuck as, again. Whenever one of us left the Honey PlayBox app for too long the connection was broken. Saying that though, if we were quick it caused no problems and he had me wriggling and writhing which was a lot of fun.
Getting technical…
I’m not very good at discerning how loud a vibrator is. When they’re inside the vibrations rattle through to my core, making themselves heard loud and clear in my ears once they’ve carried through my body. However, I wore Oly when I went for coffee one quiet morning and chatted to the owner (a friend who has kinky stories of their own.) Asking him later, he hadn’t heard a thing, in spite of me struggling to hear anything over it.

Used naked, my phone needs to be within two meters before losing connection. However, fully clothed and sat working on my laptop (as I am now) I need to keep my phone in my lap to keep the tech working. If out and about I imagine the phone being in my pocket would work just as well.
Final thoughts on the Oly dual stimulation, wearable vibrator.
Oly has found a spot in my toy cupboard, and not because I can’t find it! That green bag.💕. The strength of vibrations took me by surprise, given my experiences with Lily and the Pomi wand. The shape of the entire toy fit my anatomy perfectly too. A surprise as I can often find the clitoral stimulation part doesn’t quite reach.
Is Oly orgasm inducing? For me, not yet. I have squirmed and squealed and wriggled and writhed. I’ve been turned into a puddle of goo. And my favourite… I’ve been left indecently aroused. But I haven’t orgasmed on this vibrator. Yet! However, I can be incredibly tricky to tip over the edge, so orgasms aren’t the measure here. What matters to me is that my pleasure spots are well and truly stimulated, making me pliable and ultimately more satisfied.
If you are on the look out for a pocket friendly wearable vibrator, one that you can share with long distance lovers, then you can do much worse than Oly. It’s a good all round pleasure giver with multiple ways to connect with yourself and your partner (s).
