Chasing Waterfalls

Chasing waterfalls header shows fully dressed lady exposing her breasts beside a woodland waterfall on a wintery day

What happened? Three weeks ago it was mild, late autumn weather. Stepping out from isolation this week things have turned baltic! Brrrrr. I have been enjoying being back in skirts rather than pyjamas, but have used my discretion and made the decision to wear tights. Given the cold weather, I wasn’t surprised to see snow forecast on higher ground. Which made me think of the last time I saw snow, which coincided with Loki and I chasing waterfalls for the scavenger hunt.

That was a fun day out, when we had a plan for some images for the February Photo Fest 2021. We’d been courting cascades since the summer before when we had tried to bag this exact spot. But, you know what happens in the summer, in tourist hotspots. Especially in the middle of the pandemic when staycations are proving popular! That’s right, it was so, so busy. It would have been irresponsible to try. Fast forward five months and with a significant drop in temperature the footfall was significantly less. Not gone completely, where would the fun be in that? Just a significant reduction in risk. And the wait paid off. With perky nipples, fluffy socks and a bobble hat!

It’s with great pleasure I get to share a rather lovely post this week. Our Changing Views post Surprise Saturday- Waterfall is so lovely. The warmth that their writing (and super-surprise photo) exudes counters the icy January picture I’ve shared here, and then some.

  1. What a view! And I’m with you on all the people holidaying close to home, it drives me mad that people want to be in the same location as me *laughs*
