This may come as a surprise to those of you who have been reading my blog for a while but… I really am naturally reserved! I can almost hear you arguing “me thinks the lady doth protest too much!” But really! OK…Over the last six or seven years, as my confidence has grown, this has changed a little.
Well, I say “this has changed a little” but what I really mean is- I’m constantly surprising myself at the growth of my secret exhibitionist. Secret to the vanilla world, anyway.
Sorting through the images on my phone a few weeks back, I found this image.
Taken last year as a birthday gift to a good friend of mine. “Birthday Boobs for the Birthday Boy,” the former host of my favourite munch. Shared to a group thread, an off shoot from our online lockdown munch group. Lovely! Was he pleased to receive my image? You bet! Along with lots of other pairs of breasts, and many other well wishes. I can’t imagine having done something like this four years ago, let alone in my pre-Sir days.
But I’m so glad I am comfortable with this way of being now. I may well be naturally reserved, but celebrating my body, and the freedom that comes with self acceptance, is beyond wonderful.
As you may have noticed, in the bottom right is a Nature Reserve sign.
My location for this weeks scavenger hunt. And I would like to share Veronica Bly’s post Tits need vitamin D too. She took this at a nature reserve on a hike last summer, and I adore the fear and excitement in the posts words. Quite the contrast to her strong, confident posture. I do so hope we see more scavenger hunting from her in future.
Surely this has convinced you that I’m naturally reserved? I have actual evidence of how shy I am in the post: You can run but you can’t hide. (OK, maybe that is pretty poor “evidence” but it is a close as I can get in my Scavenger hunting)
