Across The Moor For Boobday

Well, what a start to Every Damn Day In June. Already a day behind and it’s only the second of the month! Mind you, it’s been a necessary interlude. After the intensity of my time with Sir, some family commitments and a rope session with 1001011, I was in a heightened state. I’m trying to remember to make time to rest. This led to me taking a restorative trip across the Moor before heading north for yet more rope. This is an exciting twist of experiences which you’ll need to wait to find out about…

However, I would love to tell you a little about my grounding time with SWL. There were some lengthy walks on the moor- in the rain- and some excellent food. Oh, and lots of tea drinking!

SWL wanted to show me the Powder Mills, the ruins of a gunpowder factory. It’s across the moor from us both (even though we’re on opposite sides of it to each other) and the first I heard of it was when she shared a Facebook post about cream teas now being available there. (Spoiler: the cafĂ© was shut upon our wet and windy arrival. This meant we were unable to fill our boots with decadent deliciousness. Harrumph!)

However, we did take a good, long walk around the ruins. It has inspired a number of ropey images in my mind, but first… SWL was so excited to get the location for my hunt. Bliss, my four legged buddy, decided to photobomb again, but this meant all the bigger a smile for having her wander into shot. But above all else, look at that view. I’m truly joyful at having the moor on my doorstep. And I’m sure, over time, I’ll share so much more of it with you all.

Boob Day

Across The Moor For Boobday is not a Scavenger Hunt post. You see, I’ve already shared ruins in that quest. If you’d like to, you can find that post here- Fallen Into Disrepair.
