Revisiting Yellowmead

Revisiting Yellowmead shows the barefoot sub, naked on dartmoor and bound in Childs pose. Legs in a futomomo, and upper body tied in a TK. Her face is resting on the grass.

It wouldn’t be friends week without a little something with Loki. He features quite regularly, what with sharing a mischievous spirit we rarely miss an opportunity for cooking up something. But this time, instead of sharing a new adventure, I’m revisiting Yellowmead. One of my happiest Dartmoor + Loki memories of last year.

I may have shared parts of this adventure before, but not this particular image. If you fancy a trip down memory lane then do go and have a read of Yoga Bondage At Yellowmead.

At this point in proceedings I was utterly blissed out. We sheltered in a dried up stream bed, protected from the fresh breeze by tussocks and gorse bushes, with the weak spring sunshine grazed my naked flesh. There was also a big sheet to hand for wrapping me in when needed.

Why do I keep revisiting Yellowmead?

Don’t worry, it’s not only because we have lots of photos. I think this was the first time that Loki and I had pushed for holding ties longer and transitioning. His confidence felt like it had grown, and my ability to communicate had also improved. I’m not talking about the negative communications. Not negative as such, just “stop” or “you’ve got three minutes before you need to untie me”.) I mean the positive ones where I’m saying that I have more flex, more time, or would love to be less comfortable. As the day wore on we pushed, stretched, pulled until we were both spent and in need of Strawberry bon-bons on top of a tor.

Will we return to Yellowmead?

Possibly, but maybe not immediately. Without considering the South West Coast Path, Exmoor, Bodmin… Dartmoor is pretty big, and if I’m going to bag all of the tors then it would be unwise to keep revisiting the same ones over and again. But we had a lovely day out and there are more tors in the are.. Not only did I get to spend time, naked in ropes, out in the wild. I got to share the day with a great friend, exploring nature and discovering new and exciting places that we’d only really noticed on a map previously.

February Photofest 2022

Revisiting Yellowmead is my third post for the week A Little Help From My Friends. The third theme for February Photo Fest 2022.

2022 is my third time participating in February Photo Fest. February Photo Fest 2019 was my first, with my second being February Photo Fest 2021.
