Risk Vs Reward

when I took a (calculated) risk the reward was even better than I could have imagined!

Weighing up risk vs reward is a big part of indulging in my kinks.

Have I always made healthy choices? No. But I have learnt a lot from my lessons along the way, especially when it comes to meeting sadists. Previously being blind to the risk meant no possibility of reward.

And then there is the levels of care and safety that S introduced into my world over our time together. Rarely do I enter a situation without asking myself the two questions he introduced me to. I was recently very close to being out of BRAVE, but I had an opportunity to do something I really, really, really wanted to do. Such was my “freeze” mode it took SWL reminding me of those two questions, she may be on the other side of the world but we are still there for each other. Obviously!

Those two questions led me on a merry dance. Including connecting with fellow masochists who have had the pleasure of his hospitality, and re-evaluating my needs and wants.

This led to me taking my longest trip – including connecting flights – for my first play date in another country for a first meeting with a creative sadist. (Those connecting flights were a particular draw – I DO NOT want to make my first connection with the boys in tow!)

I went with an idea that I’d have some fun sharing energy with said creative sadist – there would be pain and laughter. I had a plan in case the energy was wrong and I wanted to leave. Incidentally, having a safety call in a different country takes some planning! But I came away with three new friends. (Him, his slave and her dog.) And an invitation to return.

Developing my risk awareness has definitely led to greater rewards than I’d ever have imagined.

What a difference a decade in the kink scene makes.

    1. It wasn’t until I had posted this that I saw the photo on my laptop and noticed the intricacies of the whip marks.

The green things are needle tipped Nerf bullets. This is now my favourite way to play with needles!
