When Bestvibe invited me to review their Panty vibrator I had great expectations. Many years had passed since my last foray into the panty vibrator market and I’d all but forgotten those earlier experiences. By the time my delivery had arrived those memories had come flooding back. Urghhh, the underwhelming ABS plastic that sat on the outside of my voluptuous labia, over my clit but not close enough to stimulate. At least until I moved and the magnets failed. Then I just had a hunk of plastic, with lacklustre vibrations, floating around inside my panties. Not the most satisfying experience.
It’s fair to say my expectations of this panty vibrator were, well, pants!
Not one to be put off by rubbish memories I used the USB cable to charge the toy, ninety minutes gives a full charge, which lasts around an hour. Once full I slid the smooth silicone device back into it’s box, placed this in my bag and hurried out of the door.
Taking a trip to the loo before entering the noisy pool environment I slipped the little toy between my lips. The magnet held it easily in position on my gusset as I made myself look respectable. The vibrator itself is finger shaped, resembling a curvy bullet. When attached to my knickers it didn’t just sit across my labia, rather nestling between the folds. With careful adjustment, you can ensure it massages the exact spot that gets you off.
It had been a bold move, having the first test in such a public environment, but the noisy surroundings meant that there would be no way it would be heard. And it wasn’t! At least not for the fifteen minutes I had it in position. I have since tested in less noisy environs (Boston Tea Party on a rainy Sunday afternoon) and D and I were both impressed at how quiet the little vibrator was, discreet public play for the win! Especially with the remote control in his hands. The sensations felt great in my hands/knickers, but with D at the controls they were elevated to exquisite.

The fit of your knickers will determine how the buzzing in them translates to your clit. Mine are relatively loose, and I’m fairly unresponsive, but there is plenty going on. Enough to make me needy for orgasm, but light enough to mean I can maintain my face of respectability while out and about. Until, that is, pressure is applied to the vibrator and the intensity penetrates my core.
OK, so he didn’t press hard into my clit in the cafe, but as he drove back up the motorway a hand snaked across and I could have gone through the roof of the car. Unfortunately, being the responsible driver that he is (or maybe it’s his own sadistic style) I wasn’t stimulated long enough to explode. And, for now, that’s perfect. I like having toys where the focus isn’t on my orgasm, rather than teasing me with waves of pleasure.
Technically speaking…
The power button is near the magnetic charging points (beside the magnet for securing the vibrator in your panty gusset.) Make sure you turn it on to stand-by mode before getting it all set up in your underwear. Once it’s in stand-by mode, the remote control is simple. Press either the plus or minus button to scroll forward or backwards through the three intensities and four patterns. Want to use this manually? No worries. Just press the power button to scroll up through the patterns. You will have to cycle through all of them if you skip past the good’un in your enthusiasm, but that’s no different to the majority of sex toys on the market.
The silicone surface is smooth and ever so slightly draggy. This means it holds position well between silky soft lips. And lube, which is so often overlooked, needs to be water-based due to the material. As the panty vibrator is rated IPX6 it is suitable for gushers, lube lovers and play in the shower. Though remember, it’s not suitable for a soak in the bath! And the resistance to water means you can wash it off easily under a warm tap, either with soap, or with an anti bacterial toy cleaner.
Did the panty vibrator meet my expectations?
As stated at the top, after receipt of the panty vibrator my expectations were pretty low. I haven’t achieved orgasm with this one yet, but they also haven’t been my priority. The application for discreet, public play is too good an opportunity to miss. The fact that additional pressure got me sooooo close is exciting.
If you’re not looking for discreet public play, but rather a bullet vibrator this might be good for you too. Rest assured that – in my limited experience – this panty vibrator got me closer than bullets I’ve used. And I wasn’t even trying. If you are specifically looking for something to blow your mind (and clit) but only get off to deep, rumbly and penetrating vibrations, then this probably isn’t the toy for you. But if you orgasm through slightly higher end vibrations, or (like me) are looking for discreet play and something intensely teasing, then you might really, really enjoy this one.
