The Great Pumpkin Rises

The great pumpkin flying in rope

“Each year, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he thinks is the most sincere. He’s gotta pick this one. He’s got to. I don’t see how a pumpkin patch can be more sincere than this one. You can look around and there’s not a sign of hypocrisy. Nothing but sincerity as far as the eye can see.”

I’m not sure if I make a great pumpkin or not, but I certainly make a flirty, coquettish gourd. And when 1001011 decided hoist me out of the pumpkin patch in his rope studio I can assure you he was sincere in his efforts.

I really enjoy It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, but I haven’t watched it since leaving the marital home. While discussing ideas for our latest rope get-together he showed me the mask. I wondered if I could be a scary pumpkin.

Completely cut off from the world, inside the latex ball hood that we used to add structure to the flimsy Jack-o-lantern mask, I had no idea how things looked. However, I could hear him through the hood, laughing hard! No, I wasn’t scary! But I wasn’t expecting the almost cute vision that greeted me on his phone screen as soon as the hood came off and I was safely seated on the floor.

I find myself wondering if I could take the boys Trick Or Treating in this outfit tomorrow. Though I don’t think the hood and barely covered legs would go down too well with the neighbours!

That being said… you never know!

Would you fancy having this pumpkin knock on your door tomorrow night?
