Untie All The Knots

Untie all the knots header shows a black and white view through discarded hanks of rope on the floor. There is also a book.

At times, I get somewhat sentimental. At these times I seem to recall quotes when inspiration calls. Like this one: “When you untie all the knots in your heart, you will be free and at peace.” (Pinterest)

I don’t recall the last time I was on Pinterest but this quote seems to have stood out in my mind. Waiting, as so many others before, for the perfect time to spring forth.

I’m feeling utterly blissed out after a weekend at home. It’s been peaceful: the children with their dad, time for a little baking and some housework. And perhaps a little rope.

OK, maybe more than a little…

1001011 paid a visit yesterday evening, and we tied into the night. This afternoon I’ve enjoyed my first safe, solo self-suspension. Learning new techniques, taking myself somewhere new while going nowhere. Just a book for company. No-one to ask if I was doing it right, practising trust. In myself. In the skills I’ve learnt and practised many times before. Putting them together. Flying high on the endorphins of a job well done.

Releasing my bonds, I melted to the floor. Took my time to untie all the knots, wraps and frictions. Connective rope, solo. Mmmm, I like this… Utterly at peace, curling into the discarded hanks on the rug, pausing for breath.

Won’t you join me for a while?

Sinful Sunday

Untie The Knots shows my view, post rope, this afternoon. Curled up on a coarse jute mattress. As I enjoyed my Sinful Sunday, I thought I’d share it with you. If you click the lips above, you’ll see what everyone else has been up to for prompt week. September’s challenge is No Humans.
