Walking Together – February Photo Fest 2025

walking together, SWL snaps me exposing myself by a boating lake.

“I don’t know why but we always see the best, most random things when we’re walking together”. I’m quoting SWL, who laughed as we walked down the quay from the group of radio controlled yacht enthusiasts. We had stopped for a chat with them. Wanted to know the rules of the races they were clearly sailing in, before carrying on our merry way.

It was a beautiful, sunny autumn morning, but overshadowed with events unfolding for SWL. Events that caused me to cancel all plans just in case she needed me. (She did, which is how we ended up in an unfamiliar town.) We went out to explore the area, to enjoy a rare day of sunshine and to find coffee. Well, the coffee was not as simple as the others, but at least we got a new location for my Scavenger Hunt in the miles we strolled around, eventually finding a little horsebox selling the most divine espresso. After a little caffeine injection we may well have changed our gait, appearing more like we were dancing to Funky Destination’s Walking Together.

February Photo Fest 2025
For 2025 I wanted to try something different to previous years.

Music has always been a big part of my world, and over the last few years I’ve been building a Spotify playlist of songs that inspire my kinky brain. Coupled with my ever growing family playlists, where I’ve been introduced to new tunes (some being better than others), and talking tunes with friends – old and new, I thought it was about time I used that inspiration for good!

It turns out this was quite a good idea.

I have recently changed jobs and find myself with even less time!!! But I promised myself – in the post “Packing Up Or A Special Delivery” that I would do my best to share for February Photo Fest this year. So I hope you enjoy my efforts. Perhaps you’ll find a new musical genre to enjoy! Please let me know in the comments any alternative pieces that would work for the picture. I’m always happy to add new songs to my playlists.
