Message Hidden In A Waterfall

Naked under a beach waterfall, photo by bunny, what is the hidden message.

Just over three years ago, Loki and I bagged the waterfall for my Scavenger Hunt, the message then being that perseverance means you might eventually be hidden in plain sight. It’s a good job that I’ve already achieved the location. Neither Bunny nor myself can verify if this was a nudist beach or not. Regardless, there was no need to exercise discretion while cavorting under the cascade. While it was a bright day, we were at the tail end of 2022 and the coast path was deserted.

A few weeks ago Bunny reminded me of this day out.

Naturally, I immediately took to my folders and found the memories stored there. The joy on both of our faces as we embraced the cold that tumbled over us. Well, as it’s Friends Behind The Lens week on A Leap Of Faith, this is just the image to share. Thinking back on 2023, when we both had a year and a half, we didn’t have the wild, playful times. We did have fun trips to events, but life weighed heavily for us both.

Speaking for myself, and my “missing” 2023, and this photo, I was reminded of this quote, by Mehmet Murat Ildan.

“There is a hidden message in every waterfall. It says, if you are flexible, falling will not hurt.”

Well, in 2023 I did take a few tumbles, and while I was left bumped and grazed, I wasn’t harmed. And my adventures, though different from 2022, were still a lot of fun. I may have lost my sparkle for a stretch, but 2024 is already showing itself to be a bright and shiny year. I am going to be like that waterfall as I move forward, embrace the hidden message and be as flexible as I can be. And I’m looking forward to more playful mischief with the brilliant Bunny too.
