How Lovely Yellow Is!

finely knitted yellow sweater being worn over bare breasts and erect nipples.

I believe it was Vincent Van Gogh who said “how lovely yellow is! It stands for the sun!”, and today that hits home hard. The sun is shining and spring has taken the countryside by storm. My perky nipples and light, bright sunshiny jumper (often seen out in the sunshine) mirroring the outside world I’ve just arrived home from. How could I share anything else for Y, the penultimate post for this years A-Z April?

My favourite spring flower is Celandines. Usually seen as weeds, these ground creepers with heart shaped, dark green leaves and startlingly bright yellow star-shaped flowers. They have been blooming here since late February, one of the first meals for many of the native bees who are just waking up from their winter slumber. Now the yellow seems to carpet lush, shady verges, jostling for attention in amongst the new growth of slightly later spring flowers.

Today I am feeling bright and sunny, full of joy and overflowing with yellow. It’s another action packed bank-holiday weekend here. And if Easter unlocked the door to what is shaping up to be an exciting year, this one has flung that door wide open. I wanted to drop by and share my excitement at the enveloping of nature that comes after the frosts. Have a fabulous weekend, whatever you’re up to!

Sinful Sunday

#AtoZChallenge 2023 letter Y

Join me as I fly by the seat of my pants for the A-Z April Blogging Challenge 2023. You can find all of my posts for the month here. And you can also find previous years here. 2019 came first. I skipped 2020. 2021 was a full month of photography themed posts. And 2022 was a sparse collection of Q&A style writing, but there were plenty of boobs!.
