Five Things For February

January flew past quickly, didn’t it? Which can only mean it’s time to kick off February Photo Fest 2022. I thought I’d take the first day as an opportunity to share my plan for the month. My five things for February are the weekly themes for picture posts, which will all be held together by one bigger topic.

1- The first of my five things for February is that over-riding theme.

Each picture will be shared with the idea of body confidence in mind. Maybe I’ll be sharing pictures where I feel comfortable and relaxed in my own skin. Or I perhaps there’s a bigger story to share. As always, my hope is that my journey towards confidence inspires others to find love for their own self.

2- The theme for week one (this week) is Model Behaviour.

Pictures that I’ve created with professional photographers. The picture above is from my second shoot. After my first shoot, Dr Lovelace lured me over to Purple Port and encouraged me to work with Dark Lion Photography. It is her love and friendship that has inspired a number of adventures. Some of which I’ve touched on previously, but many of them are yet to come.

3- Week two will focus on self shot photography.

These selfies are moments in time that I’ve decided to capture for posterity. That could be purely for myself, for Sir or for some other reason. Maybe a product review or to cheer up a sad friend. (The only way to find out is to stick with me over the month.)

4- Week three involves pictures taken by friends.

I’ve had many adventures over the last few years which wouldn’t have been possible without my excellent circle of friends. They have all helped me grow, and I hope that I’ve helped their confidence too.

5- The fifth of my five things for February is a bit different.

Is it a surprise that week four is a bit different? There are many different artists out there in the world. I’m honoured to have crossed paths with some very talented people. So I’m going to use the final seven days of February to showcase some of their works. How does this relate to photogrpahy and body confidence? Well, you’ll just have to stick with me until the 22nd to find out! This was the week that decided my participation for the month.

These are my five things for February. The overall theme and four weekly plans to, hopefully, stick to.

I really hope you enjoy the images I share, and don’t feel “Sick and Tired” by the end of the month, as Julie’s prompt for her new meme, five things suggests that you might be feeling as we slide out of January.

2022 is my third time participating in February Photo Fest. February Photo Fest 2019 was my first, with my second being February Photo Fest 2021.

  1. This is so exciting and well done for having a theme. I’m looking forward to the final week, but know I’ll enjoy your pictures along the way, including today!

  2. I love this! And the thought you put into it. I have a theme but didn’t define it (really) perhaps I should. I always love your photographs. Looking forward to this month of photographs and fun.

    1. Exposing40 inspired the weekly themes to happen last year, and it helped me complete my project (I’m an excellent starter, but can get overwhelmed and bail) I thought I’d try that again this year, go with what works.

I look forward to yours too, I always enjoy your posts
