Let’s Celebrate Amazing People

celebrate amazing people header shows the barefoot sub, fully dressed, crouching down in a pub with my arms behind my back.

For me the point of this weeks theme was to celebrate the amazing people I have in my world. How lucky I am to share my journey into self confidence with them. I’m pretty good at propelling myself forward, and Sir is good at getting the absolute best out of me. But I’ve often said how he tasks me with things that require asking for help. I know that it’s a common belief (from the outside world) that D/s dynamics are tantamount to abusive relationships.

This is far from my experience where evidence points in the exact opposite direction.

I’m not ready to share the details of the above photo, taken at a recent munch by a wonderful friend. I don’t share anything here until it is fully processed, carefully worked through. The occasion above is going to take much more time to fully understand. It was particularly difficult, for a number of reasons. The picture represents both my strength and humility in the face of emotional hardships. This moment that felt like a lifetime was caught on camera by a great and patient woman who I am proud to call my friend.

Knowing that she was there, holding space for me, was such a comfort.

I’ll never be able to thank the incredible people in my world enough for being there through all of my Sir-set tasks and self-motivated mischief. But I can, in some small way, make their world a little more amusing by sharing some of those challenges with them. Even if they are as nervous as me when I complete them!

February Photofest 2022

Let’s Celebrate Amazing People was the seventh and final post for A Little Help From My Friends. The third week of my February Photo Fest 2022.

2022 is my third time participating in February Photo Fest. February Photo Fest 2019 was my first, with my second being February Photo Fest 2021.
