Music holds great power over me. More often than not it will make me smile, sometimes utter joy and other times a gentle warm glow. But some tunes hold a special place because they make me really relax. Currently I’m studying, and when it comes to assignment time I find it hard to focus on my ability to write. My I asked my brother for some “white noise” style music that I could crack out words to and he pointed me in the direction of Nils Frahm. A few years later and he is still my go to study buddy, and the sense of achievement I get when I have completed the assignment always makes me happy. So I have chosen my most recent study assignment companion: Nils Frahm – A Winged Victory for the Sullen – BBC Proms 2015 – Full performance He has many more incredible performances, but this one is a wonderful introduction.
(And one of his best pieces is in the last half hour)
I love music and am always on the lookout for something new to listen to, so I hope the 30-Day Song Challenge inspires some of you to share.
