I keep going on about how life is busy at the moment, so why add in another layer of ‘busy’. Weirdly I briefly became somewhat zen. I guess the old saying of “a change is as good as a rest” must be accurate after all. This is no more true than late May bank holiday weekend. SWL and I trundled up from the West Country at the end of a long week, on an adventure to the Big Smoke. The story for why we went is for another day. What we did while we were there will be drip fed by way of my Scavenger Hunt.
I’d inadvertently chosen one of SWL‘s favourite ever productions, lucky lady! Whereas me, I’ve been to the theatre plenty, but never up in that there London. And as you might know I’m an opera lover, but this was only my second musical. (Excluding school productions and Pantomimes.)
For those of you who’ve never seen inside a West End theatre before, this is what one of them looks like. Apologies for the limited view. We had to wait for the people to leave and then the staff started approaching to crowd us out.
