You have to live hardcore to be hardcore. #6

Now then, there are LOTS of songs that make me want to dance.

I may not be a talented dancer but the rhythm gets into my body and bits of me start moving. It’s very strange… I have no shame either so will happily wander down the street with my groove on. If you’re really lucky you’ll catch me trotting across the moors with a tune in my head.

However, there is a style which gets me moving more swiftly than any other. Gabber, old school, happy hardcore. I’ve never been entirely sure what the difference between these three titles is, but being under the speedy spell never fails to put a smile on my face and a bounce in my step.

As a retired raver perhaps this is unsurprising?

It is bonkers, fast paced music! I didn’t think one song would cut it, so I found a mix on sound cloud to share. If you enjoy it here are plenty more for you to peruse on there, but this is Early hardcore memories – Old school Gabber ’93-’98 megamix, by Beau Brite.

It’s takes me back to my days at sixth form when I partied hard and studied less than I probably should.

I love music and am always on the lookout for something new to listen to, so I hope the 30-Day Song Challenge inspires some of you to share.
