It’s been a quiet week here on a leap of faith, but I’ve not been resting on my laurels. And for the 76th instalment of my scavenger hunt, adventure awaits! SWL and I took a little trip to a very windy wild camp site. There were huge pitches, but the inclement weather meant there was a distinct lack of human company. With the lack of signal at camp there was time and space for two busy women to just hit pause, declutter our minds and laugh. A lot!
When we had been choosing a location, there was one question we both wanted to answer. What fun places could we visit to make new photos to turn it into a true scavenger hunt adventure! This certainly wasn’t the first time we’ve hit the road in search of new locations. But it was our first trip away together and we couldn’t wait to do some research. With a list in mind (OK, OK, there may have been a written list) we were all set.
Over the course of our trip we found a number that have trumped us for a while, but I think it is best to start at the beginning. As we were staying on a working farm there was some equipment available for us to use. This is a cattle crush, which sounds brutal but is in fact a crucial part of herd management. Keeping the animals calm, and both the cattle and handlers safe from harm. Not to be messed around with by untrained professionals I kept a safe distance as I peeled back the many layers!
As there aren’t any other hunters with the farm equipment find I’ve chosen to share a farm post. Modesty Ablaze was also on holiday when she made her find, shared in the post Modesty by the farm. That’s where the similarity ends as her beautiful sun-kissed skin shares a story of the Kefalonian heat. And my tights- skirt and bare legs is a rule for me, unless necessary- show how bleak the North Devon coast was!
